Fine Dining at Monkstadt 1745

Join us for an elegant three-course set dinner in the intimate, beautifully restored dining room of Monkstadt 1745, where historic surroundings meet contemporary Scottish fine dining.

Our chefs celebrate the exceptional produce of the Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands, with a particular focus on fresh local seafood, seasonal ingredients and carefully selected Scottish produce. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared to allow the quality and natural flavours of the ingredients to take centre stage.

Dinner at Monkstadt 1745 is also a journey into Skye’s remarkable history. The house is closely connected to the story of Bonnie Prince Charlie, who was sheltered on Skye following the Jacobite uprising. It was here on the island that Flora MacDonald famously helped the Prince escape, disguising him and guiding him safely across Skye before he eventually left for the mainland.

Surrounded by historic details and Jacobite symbols, and overlooking traditional working croft land, our dining room offers a truly distinctive Skye experience — relaxed, refined and deeply rooted in the character of the island.

After dinner, retreat to our Whisky Room, settle beside the warmth of the open fire and enjoy a wee dram of local whisky or a Scottish gin from our carefully selected collection.
